                                                      Dancing Time

So the dancing has begun, never thought moving your feet could be so hard!

We have 11 dancing couples learning 3 different dances over the next 6 weeks to put on a performance  on the 8th November!

There is a mixture of abilities within the dancers, people that have taken part in the dancing competions before to novices that struggle to remember 2 dance steps!! Karen has given her time to try  and teach us all to dance.

Tickets are availabe and selling fast!  If you can't make the night then you can sponsor one of the many dancers. All money will be going to help children newly diagnosed with cancer.

                                                        NEW BIKE

The bike has been purchased, the training will start over the coming weeks. I have volunteered a few other people to go through some pain with me to raise some money for a great cause. Keep your eye on this page for further details. As soon as we have booked on to an event, we will post the details on here.

The First ride was painful, couldn’t even get the shoes to clip in to the peddles.  I think that a little more practice is in order.

                                                       Frankies Beads

After many hours spent searching the web looking for ideas how to display Frankie’s beads with very little success, we finally found this beautiful plaque .  It shows off the journey that Frankie has been through and has taken pride of place in the living room.

This was purchased from Mill Cottage Design on Facebook. I think you would agree, it’s a great way of displaying them. We kept Frankie’s beads in order day by day, this way we can go back through them when Frankie is a little older and try and explain his journey that he will have no recollection of.

                                                      Birmingham Childrens Hospital

Whilst in BCH, there was not a lot else to do but chat to the other people on the bay. This is when we decided to run the Birmingham Half Marathon. Seemed a good idea sat on a bed, eating and drinking rubbish. I got a few others involved and we ran, mostly, around a very wet and windy Birmingham. People have run a full marathon faster than I ran a half, but the determination was there to be able to give something back to an amazing hospital that had made our very poorly boy better.

We raised just over £3000 for Ward 18 and another dad raised a staggering £6000, a great achievement for an idea whilst sitting in bed. Some of our other friends also ran that very cold and wet half marathon also for BCH, whilst another group raised a lot of money for Cure Leukaemia .... A totally amazing group of friends.

If you look at the bottom left of the photo you will see me struggling along trying to look like I’m comfortable.
